All girls and coaches that are currently participating in the Spring 2015 are already registered. Head coaches will pick up the t-shirts and race numbers for all girls and coaches prior to the race.
Other participants can avoid race morning congestion by picking up t-shirts and race bibs at the Girls on the Run office on Friday, May 8 10:00 am-6:00 pm. Our office is located at 3330 Erie Avenue, Suite 8, Cincinnati, OH 45208. You can park behind our office and we are located downstairs.
Packets can also be picked up at the race beginning at 8:00 a.m.
Spectators' and participants' safety is first and foremost with the race officials and Girls on the Run. We will closely monitor the weather forecast for race weekend, but due to rapidly changing weather conditions, we may not be able to make any decision regarding the race until Saturday morning.
The event will occur rain or shine, but below are the steps if there is a risk of thundershowers or accumulating snow showers:
1) If there is a threat and/or we are having thunderstorms or snow showers at 9:45am on race morning, the race start will be delayed until 10:30am to allow the threat to pass.
2) Should the threat remain at 10:30am, the Girls on the Run 5K will be cancelled. Unfortunately, no refunds will be able to be given due to weather crisis situations.
Should a storm come about while the runners are out on the race course, they should all seek coverage along the race course. Once the storm has passed, runners should return directly to the race start/finish line.
The Cincinnati Police Department will be on site and along the race course to coordinate efforts in an emergency should arise.
