If you are not able to make it to packet pick-up, you are able to pick up your race number on race morning, but please allow 15-20 extra minutes.
The course will begin and end at Sawyer Point, running around the stadiums downtown.
Race Starts: Within Sawyer Point near the tunnels. Click here for a start map.
Race Ends: At the Kroger Promenade near the P&G Pavillion
In order to ensure the safety of all participants, all GOTR girls are asked to run with an adult running buddy and plan to be with this person at all times: before, during and after the race.
Water is available at 2 water stations along the course. Additional water and snacks will be available at the finish line.
Dogs are not allowed on the course. Jogging strollers are allowed but we ask anyone using a stroller to start at the end of the final group of race participants for the safety of all participants.
Spectators' and participants' safety is first and foremost with the race officials and Girls on the Run. We will closely monitor the weather forecast for race weekend, but due to rapidly changing weather conditions, we may not be able to make any decision regarding the race until Saturday morning.
The event will occur rain or shine, but below are the steps if there is a risk of thundershowers or accumulating snow showers:
1) If there is a threat and/or we are having thunderstorms or snow showers at 9:45am on race morning, the race start will be delayed until 10:30am to allow the threat to pass.
2) Should the threat remain at 10:30am, the Girls on the Run 5K will be cancelled. Unfortunately, no refunds will be able to be given due to weather crisis situations.
Should a storm come about while the runners are out on the race course, they should all seek coverage along the race course. Once the storm has passed, runners should return directly to the race start/finish line.
The Cincinnati Police Department will be on site and along the race course to coordinate efforts in an emergency should arise.
The Race Start & Finish will take place at Sawyer Point (705 E Pete Rose Way, Cincinnati OH 45202).
There are dozens of parking lots within walking distance of Sawyer Point. All lots will charge $4-$6, so please have cash available. There is free on-street parking in designated areas on E Pete Rose Way, but these spots are usually taken up by 7:30am.
